Personnel day at the Palace of Independence

Today the head of state made a number of personnel decisions. Yuri Chebotar, who previously held the position of First Deputy of the department, was appointed Minister of Economy. Sergei Levkovich, who previously held the position of Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, became Assistant to the President for the Vitebsk Region. Mikhail Kasko, as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus, was sent to India. The President's parting words mentioned a responsible attitude and emphasis on economic development. Candidates for the positions of heads of local executive and administrative bodies, heads of the most important organizations were also considered.
