On August 30-31, Belarus President holds number of telephone conversations

In conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, first of all, the parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Azerbaijani bilateral relations. The presidents also exchanged views on the topics of the international agenda. The main focus of the conversation with the President of Uzbekistan was the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will be held in mid-September. The head of the Belarusian state plans to participate in this event. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the development of Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation both in the context of bilateral cooperation and through the prism of interaction in integration structures. The upcoming summit in Uzbekistan was also discussed during the telephone conversation between Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. The Presidents of Belarus and Russia agreed to hold a meeting on the sidelines of the event. The presidents also discussed the schedule of future contacts in general as well as Belarusian-Russian relations, the most pressing issues and the situation in the region and the world. The Belarusian leader also had a telephone conversation with the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. He also touched upon Belarusian-Kazakh relations and the international agenda.
