Belarus was, is and will be a reliable partner for China. The President of Belarus stated this during negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping. These days, Alexander Lukashenko is in China on a working visit. The agenda for high-level negotiations includes issues of trade, economic, investment and international cooperation. The bilateral meeting lasted three times longer than planned. As Alexander Lukashenko emphasized, the historical increase in the level of relations has given a powerful impetus to the deepening of traditional directions, the start of new vectors and mechanisms of our cooperation. An all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership has been established between the countries. Xi Jinping also noted positive dynamics in Belarusian-Chinese relations. This is facilitated by the long-term strong friendship of politicians. Thanks to this, it is possible to implement many agreements and projects faster. Last year, Belarus and China reached a historical maximum in trade turnover of almost $6 billion. And Belarusian exports to China increased by 77%. During the current period of this year, trade turnover has already come close to the $5 billion mark. Together we are implementing many high-profile projects – from car production to biotechnology.
