Negotiations between Presidents of Belarus and Russia in Sochi
Joint response to NATO, Union State economy and situation in Ukraine. The agenda of the talks between the leaders of Belarus and Russia in Sochi includes topical issues on the bilateral and global agenda. The presidents agreed to hold this full-scale meeting on the sidelines of the CSTO summit a week ago. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed in detail the entire range of topics in Belarusian-Russian cooperation, the progress in fulfilling the previously given instructions by the governments of the two countries. The main directions are economy and security. Contrary to the West's expectations of a negative scenario for our countries, we are adequately withstanding the pressure of sanctions. The current situation has pushed Belarus and Russia to the maximum rapprochement in economic matters. Now the emphasis is on import substitution and cooperation. The leaders also discussed the situation in Ukraine.
