Multinational meeting in the Palace of Independence
Maintaining interethnic peace is one of the priorities of the state policy of Belarus. A statement to this effect was made by President A. Lukashenko at a meeting with representatives of different nationalities living in the country. Representatives of 156 nationalities live in peace and harmony in the spirit of good-neighborliness in Belarus. "Here they all become ours and even mine, as I often say, my Russians, my Ukrainians, my Poles. It has been so, it is so and it will always be so", said the Belarusian leader. According to the President, Belarus is open to all who come here with pure thoughts and peace, while the Belarusians are devoid of any sense of national superiority, as they know what it means to fight for their culture and faith.
