Monument to Metropolitan Filaret unveiled in Minsk
A monument to the first Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Filaret, was unveiled in Minsk. The President took part in the ceremony. The monument was created by a creative team led by Andrey Khotyanovsky. A bronze monument was erected on the site near the Holy Spirit Cathedral. The President called Metropolitan Filaret one of the most authoritative hierarchs in the Orthodox world. The Honorary Exarch has countless commendations and awards.
