Minsk Tractor Works turns 74
The stability of one of the largest enterprises in the country, ambitious plans for modernization and import substitution were high on the agenda as Belarus President visited Minsk Tractor Works. The giant plant turned 74. Today, the holding company is coping with difficult conditions of high competition and closed borders, but it does not fire staff, on contrary, hires new ones. There is also a large-scale strategy for the next 10 years. Today, many manufacturers are asking the state to support them financially, so that they do not slow down the production rate. The manufacturers want the state to lend them money for future export. The President supported the request. Traditional government order will be another form of assistance, but only if product quality is high enough.
