19.05.2020
The leaders of the EAEU countries mostly approved the strategic directions of the union’s development until 2025, but did not accept it yet. The document will be finalized taking into account a number of proposals. During the summit, which was held as a videoconference, the five presidents discussed the main guidelines for the macroeconomic policy of the EAEU states and several other important topics. In particular, the President of Belarus noted that the issue of gas transportation price in the EAEU common market remains unresolved. The next summit will be held in Minsk in fall. But if need be, the leaders will return to video conferencing again.
