Meeting with the Governor of the Rostov Region
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko continues to meet with the heads of Russian regions. This time a delegation from the Rostov region headed by its Governor Vasily Golubev arrived at the Palace of Independence. Five years have passed since the last visit of the head of this Russian region. Back then the parties agreed to work together in a number of areas. The intentions were fixed in the "road map". Today Alexander Lukashenko calls for a joint assessment of the implementation of the agreements. Speaking about trade and economic cooperation, the President drew attention to the fact that over 8 months of this year, the trade turnover between Belarus and the Rostov region reached $420 million, which is 30% higher than in the same period of 2021. Speaking about the cooperation prospects, the Belarusian leader expressed his conviction that the parties have something to work on and something to strive for. The President emphasized that the sanctions reality has not changed the main thing - strong and friendly relations between our countries.
