Meeting on current issues of the admission campaign

Problematic issues in the education system was the topic of the meeting at the Palace of Independence. How do we approach this? The problem with the calculation of the centralized exams’ results has been resolved in the country. Now it is more important to decide how to carry out admission campaigns in the future. A fair attitude is the main requirement, the head of state stressed. The Ministry of Education and the government should prepare a clear selection mechanism that will be clear to every Belarusian. Another topical issue is targeted training in universities. The President demanded that the Ministry of Education pay serious attention to it. People must understand that if they opt to choose targeted training, then they will be sent back to their region for work. In general, the President was extremely categorical and said that the country needs results and a stable, well-organized and clear system of entrance exams. However, there are also issues with school education, such as textbooks. The head of state has been paying attention to textbooks for several years. Alexander Lukashenko's instruction is to restore order in this area. In general, the President noted that the sphere of education, as well as medicine, is in for a serious revision.
