Meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with the Governor of the Perm Region of Russia Dmitry Makhonin
Belarus is ready for the active development of cooperation with the Perm Region of Russia. The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting with the Governor of the Perm Region Dmitry Makhonin. Countering sanctions, focusing on import substitution, strengthening industrial cooperation, and a consistent increase in trade – these are the tasks set by both sides. 300 companies from the Perm Region supply products to Belarus. These are goods of the chemical and engineering industries as well as wood. Over 220 Belarusian enterprises are importers. Next year, the capital of the Perm Region will celebrate its 300th anniversary. Large-scale preparations for the holiday have already begun. Enormous changes await Perm itself: the reconstruction of streets, public places, cultural institutions, healthcare and road infrastructure. Considering the volume of tasks, Belarusian specialists can assist in design and construction. The delegation of the Russian region will visit Minsk for several days. The program includes negotiations with the government, visits to industrial enterprises.
