Belarus President met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus is open for cooperation with this state and is ready to fully participate in the reconstruction of the country. There are no closed topics between Minsk and Damascus. From the first days of the conflict in Syria Belarus was on the side of the people and the leadership of the country, the Belarusian president said. Walid al Muallem conveyed greetings to the head of state from Bashar al-Assad, as well as words of gratitude. Since 2011 the situation in Syria remains difficult.
