The fight against terrorism, the mobility of the armed forces, as well as peacekeeping activities within the framework of international organizations were discussed at the Palace of Independence as Alexander Lukashenko received a report from the Defense Minister. Alexander Lukashenko noted that it is extremely important for the army to increase the prestige of military service and being ready in general. 2020 showed that things are not calm in world geopolitics. Today, over 60,000 people serve in the Belarusian armed forced. Belarus is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and an active participant of various international military exercises.
