Lukashenko expects acuity and diligence from state media

Belarus President had an open dialogue with heads of the country's leading state media. Alexander Lukashenko opted to discuss not only media’s everyday problems, but also the current political agenda, information sovereignty, fight against fake news, and the development of a sovereign media field. The head of state expects an improvement in the quality of Belarusian journalism from the domestic media. President also set a task of media personification. Journalists should be opinion leaders. Good picture is the goal of TV, deep analytics is newspapers’ field of expertise. All traditional media were told to work more efficiently on the Internet.
