Lukashenko: CSTO has potential for stabilizing situation in the world

The CSTO has potential for stabilizing the situation in the world, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko told reporters after the CSTO summit in Bishkek. In his words, the participants of the session in Bishkek agreed that the member states of the organization should be closer to each other. The CSTO leaders agreed on closer cooperation between the CSTO member states and confirmed the appointment of State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas as Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization as of 1 January 2020.
