Lukashenko closely monitors COVID-19 spread in Belarus
The situation with the spread of COVID-19 in Belarus is under the personal control of Alexander Lukashenko. The readiness of the Belarusian healthcare system to counteract the second wave of coronavirus was discussed at the Palace of Independence. The tactics chosen during the first wave have fully justified themselves, and Belarus will continue to adhere to them. In addition, more and more states are now using similar measures. Alexander Lukashenko clearly outlined his position: there is no point in closing the country. Belarus needs to be prepared for the growth of positive tests, but should avoid overloading the healthcare system. Special attention is paid to medicines supply, personal protective equipment, as well financial support of medical personnel.
