Lukashenko and Putin discuss situation at Belarus-Poland border
The Presidents of Belarus and Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation. The leaders of the countries discussed the situation at the Belarusian-Polish border and joint efforts to defend the borders of the Union State. Another point of the conversation was the situation in Ukraine and the unscheduled exercises of Ukraine and the United States near the borders of the Russian Federation and in the Black Sea. The Russian President informed his Belarusian counterpart about the situation in the Black Sea in general. The President of Belarus, in turn, informed the head of the Russian state about the telephone conversation that took place the day before with acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also discussed the schedule of future contacts.
