Head of state instructs agriculture ministry to hurl all efforts into harvesting
12.08.2019
The President of Belarus heard out a report by the Minister of Agriculture on the progress of the harvesting campaign. As it was noted during the conversation, farmers have to work in adverse weather conditions, which significantly slow down the harvesting process. However, the harvesting campaign is coming to an end. 5.5 million tons of grain have already been cropped. 20% of the country's arable lands remains to be harvested. The yield this year is much higher than last year - 32 kg/ha. The head of state instructed the minister to exert every effort and to do everything possible to harvest the remaining crops with minimal losses.
