Greeting of the First to the participants of the II International Anti-Fascist Congress
18.08.2023
"I heartily welcome you to the Belarusian land. The time has come when all people of goodwill need to unite in order to act as a united front against the incendiaries of a new world war who have once again raised the banners of fascism and nazism.
Before our eyes, the United States of America and its satellites, trying to preserve world hegemony and slow down the development of countries they consider their competitors, are destroying the global security system, replicating color revolutions and armed conflicts on all continents, rudely interfering in the affairs of independent states.
They rewrite the history of the Second World War, and resolutions and orders are adopted at the level of European structures that justify nazi war criminals and shift the blame on the USSR for unleashing this war, which has become the bloodiest massacre in the life of mankind.
We see the results of this policy today in Ukraine, where a tough, misanthropic pro-fascist regime has been established, which has unleashed a civil war in the country and is ready to fight for the interests of the United States to the last Ukrainian.
Our people, who lost every third person during the Great Patriotic War, know well what war is, so we always stand for peace, equality and dialogue of peoples. And today all Belarusians, together with the participants of the Second Anti-Fascist Congress, resolutely say: "No to war! No to fascism and neocolonialism!".
I am convinced that we are heard and supported by all countries and peoples who advocate a new just, multipolar, secure world.
Today's congress is designed to consolidate all progressive forces to fight neo-fascism and neo-nazism. This is a noble and very difficult mission. I am convinced that we can achieve results and win only together.
I wish you all success in your work, peace, kindness, health, patience and great victories in the struggle for a decent, peaceful future of humanity."
