Elimination of the consequences of the disaster is under the personal control of the President
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is personally monitoring the progress of restoration work to eliminate the consequences of the disaster, which affected a number of regions of the country. All necessary activities were carried out at maximum pace under the control of the Head of State. Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak and regional heads reported to the President about the situation in detail. Special attention was paid to the situation in the Gomel region, which suffered the most from the disaster. The President gave the necessary instructions to promptly eliminate the consequences of the bad weather to the heads of a number of ministries and departments, as well as First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov, Deputy Prime Ministers Anatoly Sivak, and Pyotr Parkhomchik. They were in constant contact with the Head of State with reports on the progress of work and the implementation of instructions.
