Dialogue between Belarus and Libya

The President met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army. A delegation from the African country headed by Field Marshal and Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army Khalifa Belqasim Haftar arrived in Minsk the previous day. Minsk and Tripoli have long-standing ties. During the meeting, the President emphasized his friendly attitude to the country and its people and readiness to develop contacts for the benefit of our peoples. The difficult situation in Libya is not a hindrance to closer ties. The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including cooperation in the humanitarian and social spheres, as well as economic projects.
