Cyber security meeting
The issues of ensuring the cybersecurity of the Belarusian state were discussed today at a meeting with the President. Alexander Lukashenko ordered to prepare a draft decree, which should determine the legal basis for the creation of a national cybersecurity system. With the rapid development of information technology any state is facing digital attacks. Criminals are using more and more sophisticating schemes: disable strategic facilities, enterprises, banking system. Their goal is to cause maximum damage to the economy and destabilize the situation in society. In this regard, the Head of State instructed to counteract cyber attacks on Belarusian facilities. The operational-analytical center under the President prepared their proposals and attracted the necessary specialists. Cyber attacks today are one of the elements of hybrid warfare. Digital terrorists are inventing new ways to attack key state facilities, so a timely counter strategy is important.
