Concept of foreign gratuitous aid to be expanded in Belarus
No bureaucracy and maximum benefit. Ways to use humanitarian aid effectively were discussed today at the Palace of Independence. Over the past three years, Belarus received $238 million of gratuitous aid. Working with such financial flows requires adjustment. The President instructed the government to improve the system. The comprehensive research resulted in a new draft decree. The President wants foreign gratuitous aid to be used for social purposes only and the funds to reach the recipients. According to the president, Belarus is open for funding aimed at social objectives, for example to mitigate the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident, provide medical care, support low-income citizens, people with disabilities, pensioners and children.
