Belarusian President has held talks with the leader of Myanmar
Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing is on an official visit to Minsk. During the meeting of the Heads of State in a small group, the parties discussed a number of areas and came to the conclusion that Belarus and Myanmar have significant untapped potential. Specific areas were identified with the delegations. Members of the governments in charge of the specialised areas joined the talks. The focus is on the development of cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian areas. Belarus is ready to facilitate the dialogue of the Southeast Asian states with the EAEU and the SCO. According to Min Aung Hlaing, Myanmar will raise the level of diplomatic representation in Belarus — the ambassador in Moscow will be accredited in Minsk as well. Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Belarus was also ready to move in this direction.
