Belarusian enterprises to expand development of national electric vehicle industry
Today Belarus President got familiar with the development of the national electric vehicle industry at the test site of the Academy of Sciences. This is a key area for Belarus’ engineering. It also gained momentum after the start of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction. The intersectoral cluster Intelligent Electric Transport operates on the basis of the Academy of Sciences. It includes 19 organizations of the Academy, Industry Ministry, and Education Ministry. In general, Alexander Lukashenko praised the development of the national electric vehicle industry. He ordered Belarusian enterprises to focus on the production of missing components for electric transport. In 2020, MAZ will manufacture and send 10 electric buses to the Belarusian regions.
