Belarus to postpone enrollment campaign
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Prime Minister Sergei Rumas to receive his report. The head of state was first of all interested in the country's economic performance amid external shocks as well as anti-crisis measures. Belarus managed to keep the GDP at last year’s level thanks to the information and communication sector, the construction industry and agriculture. Aleksandr Lukashenko was also interested in the government’s cooperation with international financial institutions, the IMF, in particular. The price of Russian natural gas supplied to Belarus was on the agenda as well. Belarus President also met with Vice Premier Igor Petrishenko and Education Minister. The meeting focused on the ending of the academic year, the enrollment campaign and exams, summer recuperation and recreation of children. A decision was made to postpone the Central Testing. The first test will take place not on June 13, but on June 25. The full schedule will be announced later.
