Belarus President visited the Miory Metal Rolling Plant
Alexander Lukashenko assessed how things are going at the enterprise. The head of state saw an exhibition of products and heard out a report on production volumes and the raw material base. The plant's capacity is designed for 150,000 tons of tinplate per year. Moreover, it is in Miory that the thinnest tinplate is produced in the entire post-Soviet space. It is used in food packaging, perfumery and petrochemical industries. According to the President, now the plant needs an uninterrupted work and a professional management. The instruction of the head of state is to appoint a new director within a week. As it became known, Vladimir Dyakonov, the former deputy general director of the enterprise, was appointed the new director of the plant. In addition to the inspection of the production itself, Alexander Lukashenko also met with the staff of the enterprise.
