Belarus President visited Naftan oil refinery

Today Belarus President visited OAO Naftan, one of the major companies of the national oil refining industry. At a session to discuss upgrade of Belarusian refineries, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that their efficient work plays an important role in maintaining stability of the domestic economy. Now OAO Naftan forms six percent of the region's GDP and provides more than half of the industrial indicators of Novopolotsk. Issues related to the compensation for Belarus due to the situation with poor-quality Russian oil should be addressed exclusively in a business-like manner, Aleksandr Lukashenko told the leadership of the Belarusian oil refineries.
