Belarus President set task for the government to bolster economy
There was held a frank conversation between the President and the government. The head of state placed emphasis on the work of the country's economy under the sanctions. The meeting brought together 150 participants, including both central and local authorities and heads of all major enterprises. Today everyone needs to work hard to reach the desired result. The main task is to maintain the pace and not lower last year’s bar. The country confidently follows its course, develops and increases exports, working on expanding the geography of supplies of Belarusian goods. The President urged everyone to intensify their work. There are still reserves to tap into, Alexander Lukashenko said. A strong economy is a guarantee of stability in the Belarusian society – the key thesis of the President. The meeting summed up only intermediate results. The head of state announced another big conversation with the government at the end of the year.
