Belarus President presented Marina Vasilevskaya with the Hero of Belarus medal
The ceremony took place at the Palace of Independence. The President presented high awards to the participants and organizers of the space flight. As the Head of State noted, the flight of cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya to the ISS brought sovereign Belarus to a new level of participation in space programs and a new level of alliance relations with Russia. Alexander Lukashenko called this flight "the greatest victory of the country, whose people deserved it". The President presented Marina Vasilevskaya with the Hero of Belarus medal, as well as a cosmonaut certificate. The ceremony at the Palace of Independence was attended by other participants and organizers of the space flight, as well as the cosmonaut's parents. The Head of State gave them letters of gratitude from the President.
