Belarus President met with the Union State Secretary of State

2023 begins logically: the union’s agenda needs to be updated, results summarized, plans for the future outlined. To do this, it is necessary to gather the highest ranking officials of the Union State in person. The Belarusian side proposed an algorithm. First, the union’s Council of Ministers will hold its meeting. Then, a meeting of the Supreme State Council at the level of top officials will be scheduled. Dmitry Mezentsev called the past year successful in the implementation of the leaders’ decisions. In November 2021, 28 union programs were approved. 7 of them have been completed. This is a next step toward a fundamentally new stage in the economic integration of Belarus and Russia, which is especially important against the backdrop of unfair sanctions, political and informational pressure on our countries.
