Belarus President met with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan

Minsk and Tashkent have set ambitious goals and don’t intend to deviate from them. Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov. The head of the foreign policy department is in Minsk for the first time. This meeting takes place after the visit of the Belarusian leader to Tashkent. The countries have reached a new level of partnership. Belarus and Uzbekistan set a goal to implement projects worth more than $1 billion in two years. Last year, trade turnover exceeded 560 million. Over the past 5 years, the volume of mutual trade has increased 3 times.
