Belarus President meets with Prime Minister of Cuba
10.11.2023
The level of economic cooperation between Belarus and Cuba should correspond to the level of political relations and humanitarian interaction. Aleksandr Lukashenko stated this at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Cuba. Manuel Marrero Cruz is on an official visit to Belarus. The intensity of mutual meetings and negotiations has increased. Cuba is buying more of our meat and dairy products: this year we shipped the first batch of milk powder to the region. Since the beginning of the year the export of food products has increased by 74%. The trade turnover between the countries has exceeded $10 million over the past 9 months. But Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that given the potential of the two countries this is not the limit. The two countries have a number of projects in industrial cooperation, including the launch of assembly of Belarusian machinery in Cuba. Tomorrow, the distinguished guest plans to visit a number of machine building and meat and dairy enterprises. In addition, the two countries are furthering their cooperation in biotechnology, science and tech, as well as tourism.
