Belarus President meets with governor of Russia's Stavropol region
08.11.2023
Plans for cooperation with the south of Russia were discussed at the Palace of Independence. The President met with the governor of Stavropol region. This is not his first visit to our country. The overall trade turnover is growing. The task today, as with other Russian regions, is not just to trade, but to set up joint ventures, strengthen scientific cooperation, and train personnel. Belarusian machinery and agricultural equipment are popular in Stavropol region; there is a need for agro-industrial technologies. Also there is potential for joint construction projects. As Aleksandr Lukashenko said, Belarus will create a multi-brand trade and service center in Stavropol in order to gain a more serious foothold in the south of Russia. This will allow farmers and communal services workers to see the whole range of Belarusian products with their own eyes and avoid additional costs associated with intermediaries. There is also potential in cultural, educational, and sports projects.
