Belarus President meets with Governor of Russia's Altai Krai
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus expects to intensify partnership with Altai Krai. The President noted the close ties between Minsk and Barnaul. The Siberian region is considered the breadbasket and one of the key agrarian regions of Russia. But we are not united only by agriculture. The plans are much more ambitious. Humanitarian sphere and tourism are also important areas of mutual interest. The launch of a direct flight between Minsk and Barnaul is under consideration. And in general, the parties intend to significantly intensify cooperation: the trade turnover between Belarus and Altai Krai is just over $20 million, which does not reflect even a tenth of the potential. Our country sells fertilizers, food and special equipment to the Siberian region. We buy tires, engines and minerals.
