It will be necessary to prevent a serious increase in prices for tobacco products if Belarusian tax laws are unified with Russia’s. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the relevant statement during the government conference held to discuss ways to bolster the performance of the tobacco industry. "If suddenly unification of taxation legislation happens, it may result in a serious increase in prices for tobacco products. We must prevent it", Alexander Lukashenko said. During the meeting the head of state was informed about the state of affairs with the manufacturing and sale of tobacco goods, including taking into account the changes the industry underwent about one year ago.
