Belarus President held government conference on quality of law enforcement agencies work

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko highlighted problems in matters of law enforcement during the government conference held to discuss the quality of crime detection and investigation by law enforcement agencies. Justice, legality and effectiveness were the main topics of the meeting. Protecting the rights and lives is the main task of the system. The trust of people depends on how well the whole mechanism functions. The president focused on the inevitability of punishment, but also drew attention to the greatest challenges in the area. Checks revealed many shortcomings at various levels, many of which were exposed after citizen’s appeals. Belarusians have the right to count on law enforcement agencies, because all conditions have been created for their quality work, said the president.
