Belarus President held a meeting with the head of Kalmykia

During a meeting with the head of the Republic of Kalmykia, the President of Belarus noted the intensification of contacts with this Russian region. But the real breakthrough, according to Alexander Lukashenko, is yet to come. Despite the distance, our peoples are united by a common history and culture. As the Belarusian leader noted, we have always been close in spirit, common history, and upbringing. Creation is the foundation on which our cooperation is built. Last year, exports to Kalmykia exceeded $1 million. The potential is much greater. Belarus has a lot to offer – from mechanical engineering, high-tech transport, and pharmaceuticals to construction and IT. Direct flights will also contribute to the development of bilateral relations. The possibility of launching the Elista-Minsk flight is being discussed.
