Belarus President held a meeting with the Governor of the Bryansk Region of Russia
Reaching $1 billion in trade turnover between Belarus and the Bryansk region is far fr om the lim it. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this at a meeting with the Governor of the Bryansk region of Russia Alexander Bogomaz. As the Head of State noted, the trade turnover of our country and the Russian region has dipped a little, but there is an opportunity not only to restore an important mark, but also to increase it thanks to close cooperation in agriculture, industry, and the scientific field. Belarus is also ready to expand supplies of food and other goods. Cooperation in the construction industry also seems mutually beneficial, especially since such experience already exists: last year an investment project was implemented to construct a residential building in Bryansk. Among the promising areas of cooperation, Alexander Lukashenko named overcoming the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, from which the Bryansk region suffered in the same way as Belarus.
