Belarus President confirms intention to increase wages of teachers and doctors

President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed the intention to increase wages of teachers and doctors. At the Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the head of state noted that last year public sector wages were not lower than 80% of the average wage level in the country. This year’s task is to maintain these indicators. In addition, the teacher's salary should reach 100% of the national average, the doctor’s – 150%. In general, the Congress discussed issues important for every working person – employment, wages, prices, labor market.
