Belarus President bestows Doctor of Sciences diplomas and professor certificates

Science in Belarus receives special support and is of strategic significance for the country, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he attended a ceremony to bestow Doctor of Sciences diplomas and professor certificates on scientists and academic researchers.  Among the awardees there are 18 scientists. They included representatives of medical, pedagogical, technical, physico-mathematical, philological and economic sciences.  In 2019, the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus awarded the scientific degrees to about 400 applicants. Scientific degrees were bestowed upon 44 foreigners who are citizens of 10 states.
