Belarus President A. Lukashenko met with the Ambassador of Türkiye M. Özcan
The development of relations between the two countries was discussed at the Palace of Independence. The dialogue between Minsk and Ankara has always been built on the basis of mutually beneficial partnership. Today, cooperation is developing in a variety of areas. Mutual trade is growing. Belarus and Türkiye have picked up a good pace this year as well. Everything is in place to reach the figures the leaders agreed on. The countries' positions on foreign policy issues are also similar. Interaction develops in the spirit of friendship. The presidents themselves build their dialogue on this principle. Lukashenko and Erdogan regularly hold telephone conversations. Last fall they talked on the sidelines of an international summit. This year has not been the easiest for Türkiye. Presidential elections were held in spring, and at the start of 2023 the country was hit by a terrible earthquake. All efforts were devoted to eliminating the consequences. Belarusians also extended their helping hand to Türkiye.
