Belarus changes legislation on state registration of real estate
The President of Belarus has signed the law that provides for a comprehensive and systematic improvement of relations in the sphere of state registration of real estate. In particular, the law provides for mandatory state registration of immovable property, rights to it and transactions with it within a period not exceeding 6 months, and according to previously issued documents — until 1 January 2031. Also, citizens will be able to receive certificates of state registration directly from the notary who certified or issued the document that is the basis for registration, without the need for additional visits to the real estate registrar. In addition, the deadline for applying for legalisation of self-occupied unauthorised land plots is extended until 1 January 2028.
