Belarus chairs CIS in 2021

Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State, which was held in the format of a videoconference. The heads of the countries exchanged views on cooperation within the CIS. Belarus has always been an adherent of integration mechanisms. As Aleksandr Lukashenko stated in his speech, the strengthening of integration across the post-Soviet space has become inevitable in the current realities. The Belarusian leader is convinced that the CIS has great potential. Belarus takes on presidency in the CIS next year.
