Belarus, Astrakhan Region develop cooperation

Alexander Lukashenko met with a delegation of the Astrakhan Region headed by its governor Igor Babushkin. The parties discussed the launch of cooperative mechanisms, as well as the increase in trade. In January – September of this year, mutual trade between Belarus and the Astrakhan Region amounted to $23.1 million, which is almost 29% more than in the same period of 2020. Exports of domestic goods amounted to $4.7 million. There is a dealer network of Belarusian machine-building enterprises in the region. Work is underway to create a shopping and service center of MTZ.
