Belarus and Iran are preparing a plan for the development of cooperation
The situation in the world forces Belarus and Iran to look for new forms of cooperation. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Said Yari, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Belarus. The head of state expressed confidence that the results of cooperation between the countries could be much greater, but everything that has already been done during the period of the ambassador's activity in Belarus will be the basis, the foundation of future bilateral relations. The mutual trade turnover of the countries exceeded $100 million, which is three times higher than in 2021. At the same time, Belarusian exports to Iran increased almost six times. During the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko announced a visit to Iran in mid-March. The head of state expressed confidence that these would be significant negotiations that would bring the countries to a higher level of cooperation.
