Alexander Lukashenko speeched at the EAEU summit
In the context of sanctions, the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union should not close their economies. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. According to the head of state, the development of an international economic union with third countries and integration associations is of particular importance for the EAEU. The President recalled that active work is underway to conclude trade agreements with Egypt and Iran. The beginning of substantive negotiations with Indonesia is next on the agenda. The United Arab Emirates is showing interest in a free trade agreement as well. The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held in the format of a videoconference.
