Alexander Lukashenko received a report from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee
Belarus President received a report from Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee. The main topic of the report was the course of the harvesting campaign in the northernmost part of the country. 90% of the grain has been threshed there. The average yield in the region is over 31 c/ha. The governor reported that the region has already harvested over a million tons of grain. For Vitebsk, this is rather rare. The President congratulated the region on the achievement. A good result is not a reason to relax, he said, as forage harvesting and winter sowing are ahead. In general, this year turned out to be quite good for agriculture according to estimates. The President was interested in how integration structures work in the Vitebsk region. Their creation in the region was a good shake-up for the agro-industrial complex. In addition, there was a talk about the development of biotechnology and the creation of Belarusian COVID-19 vaccine. The development of BelVitunifarm was a part of the governor's report as well.
