Each country has its own strong traditions, one of them in Belarus is to congratulate children on New Year's holidays. President Aleksandr Lukashenko made this statement at the Palace of the Republic, taking part in a charity celebration as part of the "Our Children" campaign. Its central event is the country's Main Christmas tree. This year, a bright performance "The Magic of the New Year" with fairy-tale characters and the main attributes of winter holidays was prepared for children. About 2.400 children from all regions of Belarus are invited to the event. Excellent students, students of cadet schools and specialized lyceums, winners of Olympiads, creative contests and competitions, orphaned children, and children from large families had the opportunity to see the bright New Year's performance.
