Aleksandr Lukashenko presents inaugural State Quality Mark awards

A solemn ceremony of awarding symbols of the State Quality Mark has been held at the Palace of Independence. Nearly 220 manufacturing organisations took part in the contest, and 660 goods claimed to receive the distinctive mark. The first holders of the Quality Mark in the history of sovereign Belarus were rigorously selected for compliance with the criteria of innovation, technology, safety and a number of others. "The quality of Belarusian goods is a matter of national sovereignty", said Aleksandr Lukashenko at the ceremony.
